About Voss Equipment
For over 80 years, Voss Equipment has been serving the Chicago area’s material handling businesses. From day one, we’ve partnered with Yale Equipment and other industry-leading manufacturers to provide our customers with high-quality forklifts, railcar movers, industrial vehicles, and more. As a truly “family owned” company, the success of our customers and our employees is our top priority.
Voss Equipment was established in the Chicago area by Peter Voss, Sr. in 1940, and we have been serving the material handling needs of Chicagoland ever since. Peter Voss Jr. joined the family business in 1961 after serving three years as a United States Marine Corp officer, and assumed the presidency in 1980. In true family style, his son Peter Voss III (who also served three years in the US Marine Corp) joined the company in 1990. Today Peter Voss Jr. is Voss Equipment’s chairman and chief executive officer, while Peter Voss III became president in 2007.
